How much does a BOC-3 cost?

BOC-3 filings range from about $20 at the low end to $99/year on annual-renewal models. FastBOC3 charges $75 flat one-time for blanket coverage in every state — no annual fee.

There is no FMCSA fee for the BOC-3 itself. The price you pay is for the registered process-agent provider, who maintains agents on file in every state and submits Form BOC-3 on your behalf. Rates differ because providers structure billing differently, not because the underlying filing differs.

Three common pricing models in 2026: (1) one-time flat fee — typically $50-$75 — covers the filing and lifetime maintenance unless your provider, name, or MC number changes; (2) annual subscription — typically $39-$99/year — re-bills every year for the same designation; (3) loss-leader low-fee — under $30 — usually means thin process-agent coverage in some states.

ATA members get BOC-3 free as part of membership; non-members pay $99/year retail. Most carriers operating outside the ATA model land at a flat-fee provider in the $50-$75 range.

A useful gut check: a flat-fee provider in the $50-$75 range with explicit "no annual renewal" language and a 100% acceptance guarantee is the most common 2026 carrier price point. Anything that looks dramatically cheaper or more expensive is worth digging into before paying.
